At Proctor-Willenbacher, our years of experience with both print publishing and computer technology come together in our work for the World Wide Web. While technological innovations thrill and excite us, we never lose sight of the primary goal - the communication of the client's ideas and purpose to others. Meet some of the experts at prowillen.com: Rad Proctor, Uwe Willenbacher, and others. Rad Proctor has 20 years of (print) production experience, 12 years as a small production business owner, and 5 years web production experience. She is an active member of Bookbuilders West and Star-Group. Rad knows production - both print and electronic. Project titles include HTML Specialist, Producer, Webmaster, Production Manager, and Compositor. She converts rich graphical designs into fast and reliable "pages"; specs and proofs cgi programming needs; and works directly with programmers and designers to achieve the desired results while allowing flexibility for future growth. She understands the relationship between design, editorial, technology, and the final product; and effectively communicates to all team members and the client. Uwe Willenbacher was born, raised and educated in Germany with a University degree equivalent in Electronic and Audio Engineering. He spent over 20 years in the music industry as a live Systems/Audio Engineer (feel free to check out the Crewpro listing/resume). Uwe is co-owner and technology manager at Proctor-Willenbacher. He built his first computer - an Apple II - and graduated through Macintosh systems to UNIX systems. He has years of experience installing, managing, troubleshooting, and repairing computers (to component level) and networks for designers, publishing professionals, and our own World Wide Web systems. He has written programs to interface with the World Wide Web - providing searching, collection and distribution of data, as well as interfaces with back-end databases. During the dot-com years (1994 - 2001), Uwe managed groups of System Administrators, and HTML Production and Quality Assurance teams. Defined operations and system architecture for high volume client/server applications utilizing custom java application and Oracle RDBMS. Planned and executed moves to new Internet facilities as well as corporate offices. Attended SUN certification classes in Enterprise server administration (E 3000 and above), Network storage arrays (A 5000), and TCP/IP Networking. He was VP of Operations at Well Engaged and then Director of Operations for Respond TV. Noel Franus is San Francisco writer and web producer. His work in Chicago, as a copywriter, editor and manager for several new media and print projects, left him feeling off-center compared to the new-media epicenter that is the West Coast. Thus, the move west, which served as the genesis for SF Renter, a heavy-content, community-oriented website for San Francisco tenants (and a partnership between ProWillen and Noel), which Noel routinely mistakes for his first-born child. For clients, Noel turns content into character and weaves images into inspirations. His web work has been featured by Yahoo!, Netscape, InStyle, Sports Illustrated, the Associated Press, the Washington Post, CBS Radio, Paul Harvey and his mother's refrigerator. |
